PHI SIGMA SIGMA
UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE | DELTA ETA CHAPTER
PHILANTHROPY

Phi Sigma Sigma has chosen the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation as its international philanthropy aid to the lives of our members. Specifically, it is committed to supporting sisters through scholarships, educational grants, as well as compassion grants for unforeseen hardships. In this way, key programming enables the Foundation to support our sisters to positively impact their own lives and communities. The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation also additionally supports the Kids in Need Foundation to help rebuild schools and provide crucial supplies to students and teachers in areas where natural disasters have occurred. Phi Sigma Sigma's philanthropic vision can be defined with one phrase: school and college readiness.
The Delta Eta chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma's local philanthropy is Kids Runway for Research, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and support for the Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders while providing childhood cancer survivors the opportunity to "shine" through an annual fashion show fundraiser. Along with Kid's Runway, the Delta Eta chapter participates in the annual UDance fundraiser at the University of Delaware. Each year Phi Sigma Sigma is one of the top fundraising teams. During the 2018 UDance, Phi Sigma Sigma surpassed their goal
and raised over $100,000.
The Delta Eta chapter at the University of Delaware was awarded the Collegiate Chapter Philanthropic Impact Award by Phi Sigma Sigma for demonstrating ‘excellence in philanthropic fundraising while having a significant positive impact on its community through the fundraising activities.
